I'm a Cleveland-based environment artist and designer. I contribute compelling backgrounds and environments for film concepts, graphic novels, picture books, and comics. My portfolio utilizes high-contrast colors and works in striking black and white. My style is highly detailed, with lineless rendering and dynamic lighting. I work primarily digitally in Adobe Suite and Procreate.

I draw heavy inspiration for my environments from movie and theater set design.

Hello! I'm Sarah,

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Cleveland Institute of Art. My love of theater inspires my
environments and staging. Telling a story and implying a deeper narrative in my work is my passion. I believe that characters and words are important, but mean nothing without a strong and beautiful ground to stand on.

Outside of art, I enjoy my cat, Bela Lugosi, tattoos, movie scores, doing silly crafts with friends, and zoo trips.
